My Story

My partner and I are running the Great North Run this year in aid of the charity DS43. My partners former cricket teammate and friend, Danny Shurmer, passed away on the 17th June 2021 suffering a cardiac arrest in his home aged only 43. Danny's mam and dad, Bill and Pam, have set up the charity to deploy defibrillators across the community to ensure every home has access 24/7 to a defibrillator within 500 meters. They cost £1,100 each.

We will be running the great north run in his memory and also to help raise funds for this great charity.
