My Story
The British Dyslexia Association is a leading charity helping millions of people around the UK who struggle with dyslexia. As many as 1 in 10 people are affected by dyslexia. This makes learning and processing information much more difficult for the individuals suffering.
I am running for them, not just as it is a good cause, but because of the impact I have seen and felt it has on my family, friends, and my own lives. A lot of people are diagnosed early on and are able to seek support from a young age but for some people, like myself, who are diagnosed at the end of being in school, the support is much harder to access. Even with help, there is much to do as we have to train to replace the less-than-optimal coping strategies we have put in place.
BDA help people of all ages who are diagnosed and help people get diagnosed. They have no other agenda than to help as many people and provide each with necessary, individual support.
Any donations to help this cause would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much
