My Story

Last year my closest friend's father, an amazing, kind and generous man passed away from cancer. A shortage of specialist nurses and care at home prevented him from having the end that he and his loved ones wanted for him. My own grandmother benefitted so much from the support of Macmillan in her last days. We need more of their nurses and support staff in every area.

Macmillan is also there to help people with cancer and their loved ones survive and thrive despite the diagnosis. So this run is also for them - in particular one awesome lady who is saying a big FU to cancer and living her best life. I'm constantly blown away by her courage and resilience.
