My Story

I am running the Great North Run 2023 to raise money for JDRF. This will be my sixth time running for charity, and this charity has became close to my heart over the last 7 month.

JDRF fund type 1 diabetes research to improve the lives and one day eradicate the condition for good. On a more personal note in July 2022 my 6 year old daughter was unwell and unfortunatley diagnosed with this illness. While in hospital she was given alot of books, equipment and paper work, one of her favourite's was Rufus the bear which was given by JDRF and specially made for practising injections, this helped with the fear of injecting for my daughter.
