My Story

My dad sadly passed away from Prostate cancer in February this year.

He received amazing care at Alice House Hospice for the last 5 weeks of his life and our family will be forever grateful. That awful time would have been a million times more traumatic if it wasn't for all their help and support.

During my time in the hospice with my dad I looked how I could support this amazing charity and made the decision then to take on the Great North Run.

Every time I run I always think about the suffering my dad went through. He suffered in his body for so long, pushing himself to survive day after day. Im determined to push myself through a half marathon to be able to help support Alice House to continue to provide the best care for people as they approach the end of their lives.
