My Story
During the covid lock-down I took up running as a way of keeping fit (and sane). It was a steep learning curve with more enthusiasm than ability. Injuries ensued but a few replacement trainers later coupled with visits to various professionals (Physios, Osteopaths and the like) I am where I am now. I decided to challenge myself and entered the Great North Run last February in a 'now or never' moment and am looking forward to the event and raising money for a worthy cause. I decided to raise money for the Marie Curie Charity as I feel that having physical and emotional support at such a vulnerable and worrying time of a persons life is crucial and I have utmost respect for the nurses able to provide such a necessary but emotional service. Like all charities Marie Curie relies on public donations to continue this worthwhile service and I would like to do my bit to raise some funds for this cause.
