About us

Daft as a Brush has had a long association with the Great North Run since the charity was established in 2011. Over the years, runners and their supporters have raised thousands to support cancer patient's journeys across the region.

In 2022, our runners raised a record breaking amount, which allowed Daft as a Brush to buy a new ambulance to join the fleet - an amazing achievement by everyone involved.

This year, the Great North Run will be our biggest year ever! 100 runners will help us reach our challenging target of £40,000, which will buy a new ambulance and cover all it's costs on the road for a year.
