Carer Support South Lakes is an independent, local charity and network partner of Carers Trust. We identify the needs of unpaid Carers of any age and provide quality services, support and advocacy to promote their health and wellbeing
There are thousands of Carers in South Lakeland. Many juggle work, school, or other commitments along with their caring role, and most don't think of themselves as Carers, nor do they realise the range of services available to them. Taking on a caring role can lead to feelings of isolation, frusttration, depression and result in ill health.
The Great North Run is an annual event that Carer Support South Lakes participates in where five volunteers raise money for unpaid Carers and well as achieving personal goals.
